Policies

1. Changes outside of Alterations

Any changes of fabric or silhouette (outside of fit alterations) shall be discussed by both parties, and any fees associated with this change shall be included in an updated invoice.  This includes but is not limited to: adding/removing bead work, adding/removing more that 30% of the existing fabric, re-cutting of (a) garment(s) due to style change (not designers’ error).

2. Definition of Alterations, Fittings

Fittings shall include fitting a garment or garments onto the client, and shall last no longer that 1 hour per project. Clients may bring up to 2 additional guests as their support system. Space is limited at ZOFF; please let us know in advance if there is an additional person joining the appointment. A seamstress may be at the fitting, where needed (ZOFF’s discretion). House calls are $150+ HST per 1 hour session, pending travel time.

There shall be no more than 3 fittings, unless mutually agreed upon. Additional Fittings may be purchased at $150+ HST per appointment, plus any applicable fees and taxes.

3. Missed, Cancelled, or Rush Re-scheduled Appointments

Please reschedule 8 hours (within 9am-5pm business hours) before your scheduled appointments. A $65+ HST per missed, cancelled or rush re-scheduled appointment applies. Rush Re-scheduled is defined as a rescheduled appointment less than 8 hours up to 2 hours before the appointment start. 2 hours until the end of the appointment cancellation or completely missed is subject to $150+HST fee. You will only charged the highest applicable fee, per missed appointment.

Cancelled or missed appointment periods are applicable with less than 8 hours notice to the start of the appointment, up until the end of the appointment.

Appointments are strategically scheduled so that we can completed your project in a calm, and professional fashion. Any rush fees due to client schedule changes may apply. Any appointments starting before 12pm should be cancelled the day before.

4. Payment Schedule

Payments shall be paid as the plan dictates. If payments are delayed, the following steps may be delayed. In order to move forward, please pay promptly. If requiring additional payment types, please confirm with Michael.

E-transfers are not subject to any additional fees. Cash shall be taken on an as-is basis, and confirmed as legal tender at the deposit branch. Any illegal tender is prohibited, and may lead to additional charges or immediate cancellation of the project (no refunds). Credit card payments, PayPal are subject to a 3% + $10 processing fee. Cheques are subject to a $10 processing fee. If bounced, a cheque bounced fee of $85 shall be applied to your account.

An updated invoice will be drafted if additional fees or charges have been made. When payments are made, this is your agreement to any and all of these terms.

5. Refunds, Project Termination

No refunds will be accepted at this times, as custom garments are made for your silhouette, and may not be sold to another customer. Termination of the project shall be defined at the time of the termination. A 30% termination fee of the remaining project shall be required. For Example: 50% of the project is paid for ($1,000)… The Termination fee is $300+ HST and applicable payment fees. Unfinished garments will be given possession to client once termination fees are payed in full.

Projects that ZOFF provides sketches for, and are cancelled before the deposit stage, shall incurr a sketch fee (if not already paid for) starting at $65 + HST per sketch. If you decide to re-evaluate the same project and commence a forward, the amount paid will be placed towards your deposit. ZOFF claims the right to own any format of photos of and physical client sketches, until purchased by the client. If the client pursues the project utilizing 10% or more of the sketch without ZOFF’s written consent, ZOFF may pursue financial compensation for the design’s cost as per local and federal copyright laws and regulations.
